Version 1 Features and Scope
- Command Line Interface - a simple command line program will
allow a user to open any configured connection.
- Manual Configuration - the only way to configure Connection
Manager will be to edit the configuration files using your favorite
text editor
- Supported Connection Types - version 1.0 will have support for
the following connection types:
- telnet
- rsh/rlogin
- ssh
- rdesktop
- vnc
- Documentation
- CLI Man page - a man page describing the use of the command
line interface
- Configuration Man page - a man page describing the various
configuration files and their respective options
- Packaging - target platforms will include:
- Redhat Linux i386 rpm
- Generic Linux i386 .tar.gz
- FreeBSD i386
- Internationalization - english will be the only supported
language
Version 2 Features and Scope
- Qt/KDE interface - Connection Manager will have a full featured
graphical interface based on the Qt and KDE widgets. This interface
will allow a user to manage their own connections, as well as maintain
all of the various configuration files. You shouldn't have to use
a text editor to edit configuration files unless you really want to

- Internationalization - the command line tool will support full
internationalization in however many languages I can get people to do
translations for. The Qt/KDE interface will still be english only.

- Internationalization - the Qt/KDE interface will have full
internationalzation support
- Packaging - add additional target platforms
